sara e. hughes is a 2026 Pushcart Nominee and received honorable mention for the American Poets College & University Prize in 2022. She holds an MFA from Randolph College as a Nancy Blackburn Fellow. sara’s work has appeared in Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora, Superstition Review, December Magazine, and Tofu Ink Arts Press.
